CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott baseball student-athletes Robbie Wladkowski (Norwood, Mass.) and Gabe Van Emon (Lexington, Mass.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Wladkowski received CCC Player of the Week accolades, while Van Emon collected CCC Pitcher of the Week honors.

ROBBIE WLADKOWSKI | SO. | INF

Wladkowski had a hit in every game for the No. 7/14 nationally ranked Gulls last week who went 4-0 overall and 3-0 in CCC play.

He opened the week on Tuesday (March 28) with a CCC win over cross-town rival Gordon, 7-4. He went 2-for-5 in that game with both knocks going for extra bases with a double and a home run.

Wladkowski then went 1-for-4 in a non-conference win over Southern Maine on Wednesday (March 29).

He concluded the week with a CCC doubleheader sweep of Salve Regina on Sunday (April 2).

Wladkowski went 2-for-4 in both games, hitting a home run in the opener and a double in the late game.

In total, Wladkowski batted .412/.474/.882 for the week. He also drove in nine runs and scored four others and played perfect defense in the field.

This is his first career weekly award.

GABE VAN EMON | SR. | LHP

Van Emon was phenomenal in his lone start of the week for Endicott.

In a meeting of the two teams picked at the top of the CCC Preseason Poll, Van Emon held Salve Regina scoreless through seven innings of work to earn the win in a crucial 4-1 victory for the Gulls.

He allowed just six hits and walked none, while tying his career-high by striking out nine batters.

This is his first career weekly honor.
