No. 7/14 Baseball Routs Southern Maine, 21-4

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 7/14 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team defeated Southern Maine, 21-4, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at North Field.

WP (1-1): Kyan Bagshaw (Amherst, N.H.) — 3 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
LP (0-2): Dylan Miner (East Baldwin, Maine) — 1 1/3 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 0 K

The Gulls scored at least once in the first five innings of play to run away with the contest.

Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) and Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) combined for seven runs, three hits, and nine RBI to highlight the offense. 

Nardone homered in the fourth (solo) and fifth (three-run) innings, respectively, while Shpur launched a grand slam in the second to erase a 2-1 deficit and the Gulls never looked back.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Bagshaw earned his first career collegiate win.
  • Endicott has scored 20 runs in a game twice this season (Brandeis, W, 20-0, 3/7/23).
  • The Gulls have won three straight in the all-time series against Southern Maine.
  • Most runs ever scored against the Huskies (previous high was 16, twice).

No. 7/14 Endicott (13-3) hosts conference rival Salve Regina this Saturday (12/3 PM). Southern Maine (2-12) welcomes UMass Dartmouth to its campus this Sunday (12/3 PM).
