Connolly Named CCC Pitcher Of The Week

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore right-hander John Connolly (Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Last week for the Gulls (March 20-26), Connolly made two appearances on the mound earning victories in both outings.

Connolly got the start on Tuesday (March 21) against St. Joseph's (Me.), going seven innings. He allowed just two hits and one walk, keeping the Monks off the scoreboard. He also had one strikeout.

Connolly returned to the bump five days later against Trinity, this time coming out of the bullpen. He tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and walking two.

He gave up one earned run and had two strikeouts as the Gulls earned the extra-inning victory. For the week, he posted a 0.73 ERA.

This is Connolly's first career CCC weekly award.

So far this season, Endicott's staff has earned three out of the four CCC Pitcher of the Week honors doled out by the league.
