BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior center fielder Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career, as announced by the organization.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, which is in its 12th season of recognizing the top performers at all nine positions across NCAA Division III baseball from the previous week.
Student-athletes are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors (SIDs). This is the fourth Team of the Week of the 2023 season.
Last week for the Gulls (March 6-12), Shpur led Endicott to a 3-0 week against Brandeis, Bates, and no. 28 Pomona-Pitzer by slashing .500/.625/1.600.
The senior outfielder compiled five hits, including one triple and two homers, five runs, eight RBI, four walks, and five stolen bases.
Shpur is the second Gull to earn D3baseball.com Team of the Week honors this season joining John Mulready (Peabody, Mass.) on the list.
Mulready was named to the third installment of the D3baseball.com Team of the Week last Thursday.
