HOPKINTON, N.H. — The Endicott Women's Cross Country team placed 14th at the 2024 NCAA Division III East Regional at Hopkinton Fairgrounds on Saturday afternoon.
MIT won the NCAA Division III East Region Championship behind a score of 56 points.
The Engineers were followed by Tufts (67), Bates (147), Colby (148), Suffolk (148), Bowdoin (186), Keene St. (207), Wellesley (224), Brandeis (296) and Gordon (308) to round out the top-10.
Endicott got regional best finishes from Allie DeVoe (Ridgefield, Conn.) , Corinne Robert (Mattapoisett, Mass.), Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.), Teagan Shaughnessy (Watertown, Mass.), Lulu Steele (Bedford, Mass.), and Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) led the way for the Endicott with a time of 23:40 on the 6k course. Risko finished just nine seconds behind Shepard at 23:49, followed by Suchy at 24:12.
- Rounding out the top-5 for the Gulls was Robert at 25:19 and Steele at 25:35.
- The Gulls picked up a total of 26 spots in the final 2k of the race, which was the most out of any team in the Top 14.
