Women’s Cross Country Places Sixth At Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country team placed sixth overall out of 21 teams at the Suffolk University Invitational, hosted at Franklin Park, on Saturday evening.

Smith won the meet with a team score of 40 points, while Stevens (89), Colby-Sawyer (112), Eastern Connecticut (153), and host Suffolk (189) rounded out the top-5.

Meanwhile, Endicott notched 209 points to finish ahead of Plymouth State (249), Gordon (250), Framingham State (258), and St. Joseph's of Maine (264), who ranked 7-10, respectively.

Individually, Holly Fossa (Essex, Mass.) finished 12th overall on the 5-kilometer course with a time of 20:15.6.

The remainder of Endicott's top-5 included Haley Marek (Westhampton, Mass.), Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.), Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.), and Gabrielle Rabito (Woburn, Mass.). Marek crossed the finish line in 41st place (21:23.6), while Adrian ranked 48th overall (21:37.0), Pomeroy was 50th overall (21:37.6), and Rabito came in 58th place (21:51.4).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on Saturday, November 2 at Colt State Park in Bristol, Rhode Island – hosted by Roger Williams University – at 11 AM.
