BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's volleyball team finished the regular season with a sweep of the Golden Bears of Western New England 3-0 on Saturday to improve to 21-7 overall and a perfect 8-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. With the unblemished 8-0 record in CCC play, the Gulls have locked up the top seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament. 

Endicott won by set scores of 25-21, 25-9 and 25-16 as the Gulls out-hit the Golden Bears .299 to .032. Leading the charge offensively was senior Remi Quesnelle (Sunderland, Mass.) who finished with seven kills and a .286 average to go with six digs and two aces on the afternoon. A trio of Gulls finished with six kills each as Meghan Frederick (Sunapee, N.H.), Colleen McAvoy (Coventry, Conn.) and Nicole Winkler (Southborough, Mass.) all reached the mark. McAvoy's six kills were paired with her three blocks while Winkler's came with two blocks of her own. Frederick's six kills came on 14 error-free attempts as she finished the match hitting .429. 

Setter Zoey Gifford (Natick, Mass.) finished with 22 assists and eight digs while Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) posted seven assists and seven digs of her own. McGrath also finished with three aces, tied for the match-high.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• The win also served as the 400th career win as head coach of the Endicott women's program for Tim Byram, who is in his 20th season at the helm of the Blue and Green. 
• Overall, Byram has accumulated 453 wins as a women's coach and 214 as the head coach of the men's team, giving him 667 total wins for his career.
• This is the 11th time the Gulls have eclipsed the 20 win plateau in a season, a mark the team has exceeded in four of the last five seasons.
• Libero Mackenzie Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) finished the regular season with 536 digs, good for 10th all-time in Endicott women's volleyball single-season history.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (21-7, 8-0 CCC) now awaits the release of the CCC Tournament pairings which will be released this weekend. The Gulls will have a bye in the quarterfinals and will host a semifinal match on Thursday night. Western New England (12-17, 2-6 CCC) also awaits the release of the tournament pairings as they have earned the seventh seed overall.
