Anthony D'Angelo enters his second season as head coach of the Endicott women's tennis program in 2019-20.
D'Angelo comes to Endicott staff after serving as an assistant coach at Wheaton College (Mass.) for two-plus years. While at Wheaton, D’Angelo helped both Lyons’ programs reach the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament semifinal round in 2017-18. Overall during his tenure as an assistant coach, both programs combined for four postseason appearances under his tutelage.
D’Angelo also was responsible for aiding two student-athletes to NEWMAC All-Conference honors and six additional student-athletes to NEWMAC Academic All-Conference awards.
D'Angelo started his coaching career at the University of Central Florida (UCF), an NCAA Division I program, as a volunteer assistant coach in 2014-15. Following his time with the women’s tennis program at UCF, D’Angelo picked up additional coaching experience in Florida, serving as Head Boys Tennis Coach at Ocoee High School and as an instructor at IMG Academy in Bradenton in 2015-16.
D’Angelo also brings a wealth of knowledge to Endicott from his current role as a coaching professional at the New England Tennis Center in Leominster, Massachusetts. In his position at the New England Tennis Center, D’Angelo is responsible for junior player development and coaching at adult clinics.
Prior to coaching, D’Angelo played collegiate tennis at Florida Southern College. D’Angelo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (broadcast, print & online media) in 2014 before obtaining a Master of Sport and Exercise Science degree (coaching track) from the UCF in 2016. Along with those merits, D'Angelo also is professionally certified through the U.S. Professional Tennis Association (as of May 2016).
