Women's Tennis Bests Curry, 7-0
MILTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Curry, 7-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) play on Monday evening.
The Gulls swept the doubles session, all by scores of 6-0, led by Emily Leclerc (Manchester, N.H.) and Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) at No. 1 doubles. Abbey Fleming (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) along with Milana Montini (Southbury, Conn.) and Sofia Montoya (Wenham, Mass.) followed suit at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.
Leclerc then secured her fourth singles victory this season at No. 1, winning in straight sets, while Jillian Friedman (Austin, Texas) secured a win at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Sutliffe and Woods then captured wins at No.3 (6-0, 6-0) and No. 4 (6-0, 6-0) as Montoya and Ashley Klauck (Magnolia, Texas) capped off the conference sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 5 and 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 6.
