BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team will open up its 2019 season on Sunday, September 1 at home versus Colby-Sawyer. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Head Coach Anthony D'Angelo enters his first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) season at the helm he took over the program on December 12, 2018.
- Members of the team have won back-to-back CCC Rookie of The Year awards. Sophomore Justine Hoover (Wallingford, Conn.) was last year's recipient, while junior Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.) won the award in 2017
- Endicott is looking to make its 9th straight CCC title match.
- The team returns three student-athletes from All-CCC teams, Hoover (All-CCC First Team Singles, All-CCC Second Team Doubles), Hartman (All-CCC Second Team Singles, All-CCC First Team Doubles), and sophomore Fernanda Trevino (Dallas, Texas) who was named All-CCC Third Team Singles, and All-CCC First Team Doubles in 2018
- Early tests, for the Gulls, in September with road contests against conference rivals Nichols (9/12) and Roger Williams (9/24).
