BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College women's tennis team dropped its second straight match on Thursday with a 6-3 loss to Rhode Island College.
For the second match in a row Nicole Breting (Woonsocket, RI/Mount St. Charles) picked up a win at third singles and teamed up with Brianne Cogan (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) to take a win at second doubles.
Breting won 6-1, 6-1 for a strait set win over Tara Marchant (North Scituate, RI/Scituate). Breting and Cogan then paired up to win 8-3 at second doubles over Marchant and Jaclyn Eastman (Mansfield, MA/Mansfield).
Lori Wardner (Wrentham, MA/King Philip Reg.) picked up the only other win for the Gulls with a 6-4, 6-1 performance at fourth singles.
Endicott falls to 6-3 on the year and will next take on 4-3 Roger Williams on Saturday afternoon in Beverly.
