Women's Soccer Falls To Hartford, 1-0
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team fell to Hartford, 1-0, in Saturday afternoon's Conference of New England (CNE) matchup from Hempstead Stadium.
Despite a well-controlled performance by the Gulls throughout the contest, the Hawks escaped for a fastbreak go-head goal in the 82nd minute to bury the Gulls.
Earlier in the half, Finley Barker (Underhill, Vt.) nearly headed in a chance for the Gulls off of Hannah Lord's (Bedford, N.H.) back post pass, but the Hawks' keeper sprawled out and made a game-saving stop, keeping the contest scoreless at the time.
The Blue and Green mustered up a few more offensive chances, mainly led by Samantha Klimas' (North Andover, Mass.) and Sofia Agudelo's (Avon, Conn.) play up top, but they were unable to find the back of the net before the final buzzer sounded.
Samantha MacCormack (Danvers, Mass.) made her first start of the season in net and dropped to 1-1-0 on the year.

- The Hawks now lead the all-time series, three games to one.

- The Gulls outshot the Hawks, 15-4 (5-2 on net).
- Gabrielle Klindtworth (Guilderland, N.Y.) drilled the crossbar on a shot attempt from about 25 yards out in the 78th minute, nearly giving the Gulls the lead.
