Women’s Rugby Claims NCR Scholastic All-America Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. — Seven members from the Endicott women's rugby program have earned National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Scholastic All-America honors, as announced by the organization earlier this week.

Representing the Gulls on the list were Elektra Cheney (Collinsville, Conn.), Sarah Corcoran (Westborough, Mass.), Melissa Drexler (Duxbury, Mass.), Amelia George (Holyoke, Mass.), Peyton Gilson (Newport, Vt.), Tess Merrill (Greenwich, N.Y.), and Jessica Parkinson (Middlefield, Conn.). 

To qualify as a Scholastic All-American, student-athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year and be rostered for 50% of the Fall 15s A-side matches or rostered for 50% of the A-side Spring 7s tournaments.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott concludes its 2021-22 season at 20-10 overall. The Gulls won both the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) 15s and 7s championships and earned runner-up honors in the NCR Northeast Regional Championship.
