McCardle, Wisbeck Receive All-NEC7C Team Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott club women's rugby student-athletes Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.) and Amanda Wisbeck (Hong Kong, China) have earned All-NEC7C honors, as announced by the organization earlier this week. McCardle was named to the All-NEC7C First Team, while Wisbeck landed a spot on the All-NEC7C Second Team.

The honors for McCardle and Wisbeck are both firsts and come on the heels of the duo aiding the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) 7s Select Side team to a third place finish at the Los Angeles Invitational in late February.

Meanwhile, the tandem's play guided the Gulls to a No. 3 overall national ranking in the final NSCRO Women's 15s Top-20 poll. That ranking is the highest ever in program history.

Endicott's 2019 campaign also featured an 11-1 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play. In addition to that, the Gulls captured the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) Championship, the NSCRO Regional Tournament Title, and finished second overall in the NSCRO 15s National Championship in 2019.

The aforementioned runner-up finish for Endicott was its highest national championship placement in 15s or 7s play in program history.
