NSCRO WOMEN'S 7s SELECT SIDE ROSTER

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott club women's rugby student-athletes Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.) and Amanda Wisbeck (Hong Kong, China) have been chosen to play for the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) 7s Select Side in the Los Angeles Invitational from February 26-29.

"Amanda and Nicole were selected by the NSCRO to compete in the 2020 Los Angeles Invitational. This is the first time we have had two student-athletes from Endicott College chosen to compete on the 7s Select Side team. Having two student-athletes recognized by NSCRO shows the experience and growth in our rugby program," said Endicott club women's rugby head coach Carly Baker. "This is a huge accomplishment by both student-athletes as they will compete with other top NSCRO players and continue to shine on a higher level. I am extremely proud of them."

McCardle and Wisbeck were an instrumental part in the Gulls finishing the 15s season ranked No. 3 overall in the final NSCRO Women's 15s Top-20 poll. That ranking is the highest ever in program history.

Meanwhile, as for Endicott's 2019 campaign, the Gulls posted an 11-1 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play this past season.

Endicott also captured the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) Championship, the NSCRO Regional Tournament Title, and finished second overall in the NSCRO 15s National Championship in 2019.

The aforementioned runner-up finish for Endicott was its highest national championship placement in 15s or 7s play in program history.
