Women's Hockey Tops Becker, 4-3 (OT)

WORCESTER, Mass. — Freshman forward  Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.) scored the game-winning goal just over three minutes into the overtime period to give Endicott a 4-3 win over Becker on Friday night, at Worcester Ice Arena. 

After Becker went up 1-0 the Gulls scored three unanswered goals two in the first period and one in the second period. Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.) and Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.) secured the tallies in the first frame putting the Gulls up 2-1, while Liberty buried the goal in the second giving Endicott a 3-1 lead.  

Meanwhile, Becker scored two unanswered in the third period goals to send the game into overtime tied 3-3. 

BEYOND THE BOX

  • Endicott now leads the series 8-0-1 over Becker. 
  • Gulls goaltender Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) made 22 saves in net to move to 3-1-0 on the season. 
  • Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.), Tabitha Franceschini (Brick, N.J. )Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.)Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Liberty and Francis. 
  • Liberty's first goal and Francis' goal were scored on the power play.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (4-1-0, 3-0-0 CHC) will host Becker (2-3-0, 1-2-0 CHC) on Saturday, November 16 at 6:30 PM.
