Women’s Ice Hockey Downs Nichols, 4-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated conference foe Nichols College, 4-1, on Friday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.), Kellie Popkin (Walpole, Mass.), Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), and Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.) all found the back of the net in the victory.

Meanwhile, Alyssa Peterson (Township, Pa.) made 27 stops to improve to 2-0-0 on the season.

As a team, the Gulls outshot Nichols 45-28 and held a 32-22 advantage in faceoffs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 6-2-0 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls have won the last two meetings versus the Bison (W, 2-0, 1/26/19).
  • Keith and Popkin registered their first career collegiate goals.
  • Peterson collected her 20th career victory in between the pipes for the Gulls.

Endicott (2-0-0, 1-0-0 CHC) travels to Nichols (0-3-0, 0-1-0 CHC) tomorrow night at 7:40 PM.
