McClaflin Headlines CNE Softball All-Conference Honorees

Abby McClaflin (Easthampton, Mass.) highlighted the group with All-CNE First Team accolades.
Paige Berdos (Plainville, Mass.), Mia Mitchell (Medford, Mass.), Elyse Saccoccio (Coventry, R.I.), Chloe Shapleigh (Lynnfield, Mass.), and Ella Tower (Windham, N.H.) were all named to the All-CNE Second Team, while Kristen Beebe (Brentwood, N.H.) earned a spot on the All-CNE Third Team.
Riley Gamache (Litchfield, N.H.) rounded out the award winners with a selection to the CNE Community Service Team.
ALL-CNE FIRST TEAM
ABBY MCCLAFLIN | SO. | INF
McClaflin posted a .354/.435/.646 slash line for the Gulls in 34 games played (29 starts).
The sophomore second baseman collected 35 hits (7 2B, 2 3B, 6 HR) – highlighted by a conference-leading (tied) six homers – 31 runs scored, 24 RBI, 14 walks, three stolen bases, and a .972 fielding percentage.
McClaflin produced eight multi-hit games (2 – 6 | 3 – 2), six multi-RBI contests (2 – 4 | 3 – 2), a seven-game hitting streak, and a 16-game on-base streak during the season.
This is McClaflin's first career All-Conference honor.
ALL-CNE SECOND TEAM
PAIGE BERDOS | SR. | OF
Berdos slashed .317/.416/.404 in 37 games, all starts.
The senior right fielder scored 18 times, compiled 33 hits (4 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR), 21 RBI, 13 walks, and went 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts.
Berdos tied for the team lead in multi-hit games with 10 and reached base safely in 13 straight contests.
Her stellar defense in right field included three outfield assists and 38 putouts.
This is Berdos' second career All-Conference award (both second team).
MIA MITCHELL | SO. | INF
Mitchell registered a .317/.366/.406 slash line in 34 games played (30 starts).
The sophomore shortstop scored 21 runs, notched 32 hits (3 2B, 3 3B), 15 RBI, and nine walks.
In the field, Mitchell converted 57 putouts, logged 46 assists, and helped complete six double plays.
Mitchell had eight multi-hit games (2 – 6 | 3 – 2), a seven-game hitting streak, and tied McClaflin for longest on-base streak this season (16 games).
She is now a two-time All-Conference Second Team selection.
ELYSE SACCOCCIO | SO. | INF
Saccoccio's slash line featured a .327/.402/.469 split in 36 games played, 34 starts.
The sophomore third baseman tallied 30 runs, 37 hits (5 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR), 19 RBI, nine walks, and four stolen bases.
At the hot corner, Saccoccio had 27 putouts and 32 assists on 62 chances.
She tied for the team lead in multi-hit games with 10 (2 – 7 | 3 – 3) and reached base safely in 10 straight games during the season.
This is Saccoccio's second career All-Conference Second Team award.
CHLOE SHAPLEIGH | SR. | INF
Shapleigh hit to the tune of a.282/.364/.491 slash line in 36 games (35 starts).
The senior first baseman/designated played racked up 17 runs, 31 hits (9 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR), 33 RBI (3rd in CNE), 15 walks, and two stolen bases.
She also had 123 putouts and seven assists in 132 chances (three double plays).
Shapleigh is now a three-time All-Conference selection (1 first team, 2 second team).
ELLA TOWER | JR. | OF
Tower finished the year with a .362/.400/.420 slash line in 32 games played, 22 starts.
The junior left fielder led the team in batting average (11th CNE), alongside 16 runs, 25 hits (4 2B, 15 RBI, four walks, and four stolen bases.
Tower had five multi-hit games (2 – 5), five multi-RBI contests (2 – 4 | 3 – 1), a five-game hitting streak, and a six-game on-base streak throughout the season.
This is Tower's first career postseason award.
ALL-CNE THIRD TEAM
KRISTEN BEEBE | SO. | RHP
Beebe appeared in 18 games (14 starts) and sported a 2.73 earned run average (ERA) in 69.1 innings pitched.
The sophomore righty went 9-4 overall with three complete games, one save, 81 strikeouts, and a .208 batting average against.
She also pitched a no-hitter against Keene State on March 17.
Beebe is now a two-time All-Conference honoree (second team, 2024).
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott posted a 22-15 overall record and a 14-4 mark in league play before bowing out to Nichols, 2-1, in the CNE Semifinals.
