Men’s Cross Country Ranks Fourth Pop Crowell Invitational
WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men's cross country team finished fourth overall out of eleven teams at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Gordon College.
Conference of New England (CNE) foe Wentworth took home top honors with 61 points.
Gordon (82), Fitchburg State (84), Endicott (99), University of New England (122), Worcester State (177), Framingham State (183), NHTI (221), Lesley (237), Emerson (238), and Mass. Maritime (256) filled out the remainder of the field in today's invitational.
Dawson Romito (Boxford, Mass.) placed sixth overall in the 8-kilometer race in 26:50.45 to lead the Blue and Green.
Micah Erickson (Bismarck, N.D.) finished 12th overall for the Gulls with a time of 27:40.42, while Jonah Potach (Marblehead, Mass.), Caleb Sklar (Portland, Ore.), and Jonathan Rodrigues (Walpole, Mass.) made up the rest of Endicott's top-5 (20th, 28:30.52 | 32nd, 29:05.70 | 42nd, 29:37.43).
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Endicott placed second overall in last year's Pop Crowell Invitational.
- All top-5 finishers for the Gulls clocked personal best times.
- Romito was the third-best CNE finisher in the field of 114 competitors.
- Ezra Blasko (East Bridgewater, Mass.) from Wentworth was third, while Troy Silvestri (Seekonk, Mass.) from UNE finished fifth.
