Men’s Cross Country Wins UNE Invitational

BIDDEFORD, Maine — The Endicott men's cross country team placed first overall out of nine teams at the University of New England (UNE) Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Rotary Park.

Endicott (54 points) saw its entire top-5 finish within the top-25 of the race, which also featured Maine Maritime (2nd, 81), UNE (3rd, 98), Gordon (4th, 101), Roger Williams (5th, 115), Husson (6th, 141), Wentworth (7th, 151), Western New England (8th, 186), and Maine-Presque Isle (9th, 214).

Connor Coffin (Scarborough, Maine) paced the Gulls on the 8-kilometer course by crossing the finish line in third place (28:06.1).

Meanwhile, Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.), Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine), Matt Morneau (Lowell, Mass.), and Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.) followed in sixth (28:39.6), eighth (28:51.4), 15th (29:35.5), and 22nd (29:59.0) place, respectively, to round out the top-5.

Endicott will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College, on Saturday, September 17 at 11:30 AM.
