BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's cross country team opens up its 2022 season on Thursday, September 1 against crosstown rival Gordon College in the "Battle of the North Shore" at 5:30 PM in Wenham, Mass. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott is 4-0 overall versus Gordon in the "Battle of the North Shore" since the dual meet series was created in 2017.
- Graduate student Tyler Thornton (Reading, Mass.) has been named the lone captain of this year's squad.
- The Gulls' roster consists of 18 student-athletes (5 freshmen, 8 sophomores, 3 juniors, 1 senior, 1 graduate student), which represents the largest roster in program history based on available data.
- Endicott is looking to build off its 12th place finish at NCAA Regionals from last year.
- Head Coach Spencer Lange enters his eighth year at the helm of the program this season. The longest-tenured head coach in the history of the program has guided the Gulls to six top-5 finishes at the CCC Championship, highlighted by two runner-up performances during that span.
