  • Junior Chandler Tayek Earns NECC Academic All-Conference Honors
    July 17, 2015
    ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Junior outside hitter Chandler Tayek (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) was named to the NECC Spring Academic All-Conference team as was announced by the conference office today. To earn the honors, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. This marks the second consecutive season in which Tayek has earned the distinction.
  • John Osborne Named All-Region by ECAC

    DANBURY, Conn. – Endicott junior outside hitter John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) became just the fourth player in program history to be named all-region as Osborne was placed on the ECAC Division III Men’s Volleyball All-Star Second Team. Osborne, the 2015 NECC Player of the Year, helped the Gulls return to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third straight season as automatic qualifiers.
  • Men's Volleyball Ousted in NCAA First Round

    NEWARK, N.J. - The Endicott men's volleyball team ended their 2015 season with a loss in the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Tournament First Round as the Gulls lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-20) to #13 Rutgers-Newark. Endicott ends their year with a 17-12 overall record after winning their third straight NECC title with automatic bids into the NCAA Tournament.
  • Tournament-Bound Endicott to Face Rutgers-Newark in NCAA First Round Match

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In their third trip to the NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Tournament, Endicott (17-11) will travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers-Newark (21-8) in First Round action scheduled for Saturday, April 18th. Endicott (NECC) and Rutgers-Newark (CVC) both earned automatic bids into NCAA postseason play via conference championship victories.

    ATTLEBORO, Mass. – After leading Endicott men’s volleyball team to an undefeated record in conference play and the program’s third consecutive NECC Championship, junior outside hitter John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) was named NECC Player of the Year and leads a group of three Gulls that earned a spot on the 2015 NECC All-Conference Team. First Team junior middle Daniel Toth (Vernon, N.J.) and Honorable Mention sophomore middle Ryan Sutherland (Fairport, N.Y.) were also recognized.
  • Three-Peat; Men's Volleyball Retains NECC Crown with Regis Sweep

    BEVERLY, Mass. – For the third straight year, the Endicott men’s volleyball team has been crowned champions of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as the Gulls defended their top seed and home court with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-19) victory over #3 Regis on Saturday afternoon. Endicott (17-11) earns a berth into the 2015 NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Tournament via automatic qualifier with the first round scheduled for Saturday, April 18th with the opponent and match time yet to be announced.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men’s volleyball is back in the NECC Championship match for the fourth straight year after the top-seeded Gulls handled the #4 seed Newbury in straight sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-21) behind a monstrous 14-kill, five-block effort from junior outside John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) and 12.5 team blocks overall in the win.
  • NCAA DIII Week: Gulls Explore the Amazon

    BEVERLY, Mass.- With the NCAA celebrating its annual “DIII Week” this week, Endicott has chosen to highlight multiple student-athletes and explore how the NCAA Division IIII model has enabled them to make the most of their college experience. “Discover, Develop, Dedicate,” the “three D’s” of NCAA Division III. They provide an abbreviated summary of why student-athletes choose the NCAA Division III model to perform at their highest capabilities both in the classroom and in intercollegiate competition. For this piece, we had the pleasure of speaking with two student-athletes, Morgan Bresnahan and Tyler Willgoos, that traveled to Peru and the Amazon as part of their Tropical Ecology class over January break. Bresnahan, a member of Endicott’s field hockey team, and Willgoos, a member of the men’s volleyball team, shared stories about their experiences and let us know how this opportunity has enriched Endicott’s experiential learning philosophy.
  • Top-Seeded Endicott to Host 2015 NECC Men's Volleyball Tournament

    ATTLEBORO, Mass. – After posting an undefeated regular season record against conference opponents (12-0) this spring, the Endicott men’s volleyball team will enter the 2015 NECC Tournament as the top seed and will host the #4 seed Newbury on Friday night at 4:00 p.m. for semifinal action. Endicott currently owns a 15-11 overall record and claimed victories in both regular season meetings with Newbury this season.
  • Osborne, Little Earn All-Tournament as Volleyball Splits on MIT Scramble Day Two

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On day two of the MIT Scramble and in their final regular season matches leading up to the 2015 NECC Tournament, the Endicott men’s volleyball team split with non-conference opponents Lehman and MIT to see their record move to 15-11 overall. Endicott swept Lehman 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-15) as the Gulls erupted for a .452 hitting percentage and 10.0 team blocks but lost in three (25-21, 25-23, 25-15) to the host Engineers.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On day one of the MIT Scramble, the Endicott men’s volleyball team took down Bard in straight sets (25-15, 25-11, 25-22) behind a nine-kill, five-block performance from junior middle Daniel Toth (Vernon, N.J.) and a strong defensive effort from senior captain and libero Kristian Catalan (Sudbury, Mass.) who had a match-high 14 digs.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – On a day in which they celebrated the careers of seniors Stewart Allendorph (Delmar, N.Y.), Kristian Catalan (Sudbury, Mass.), and Billy Mullen (Weymouth, Mass.), the Endicott men’s volleyball team also completed an unblemished 12-0 record against NECC opponents this season after sweeping Daniel Webster 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-15) on Saturday afternoon.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team secured their position atop the NECC standings by sweeping their regular season series with Southern Vermont with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 26-24) victory over the Mountaineers Thursday night. Gulls junior outside hitter John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) amassed a match-high 17 kills on a .441 hitting percentage to lead an Endicott attack that hit .255 as a team.
  • Endicott Takes Down Lesley in Straight Sets

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team improved to 10-0 in their NECC schedule after sweeping through Lesley in straight sets (25-17, 25-12, 25-12) on Wednesday night inside MacDonald Gymnasium. Gulls sophomore middle Ryan Sutherland (Fairport, N.Y.) shined with seven kills and nine block assists in the win.

  • Gulls Stay Undefeated in NECC Play with Road Win Over Newbury

    BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team traveled to Newbury on Saturday afternoon for a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) matchup. Followed by a match-high 15 kills from junior John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) the Gulls soared to a 4-1 final to claim their ninth consecutive conference triumph. With the victory Endicott improves to 10-10 (9-0 NECC) while the Nighthawks fall to 6-9 (4-3 NECC).
  • Endicott Falls to Vassar in Straight Sets

    BEVERLY, Mass. – In their final match before an 11-day layover for spring break, the Endicott men’s volleyball team lost in straight sets (25-18, 25-19, 30-28) to see their 2015 season record fall below .500 to 9-10 overall. The Gulls will recharge their batteries over spring break and return to their NECC schedule on Wednesday, March 25th for a home match against Lesley.
  • Endicott Sweeps Regis; Gulls Improve to 9-0 in NECC

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team took down NECC opponent Regis in straight sets (27-25, 25-10, 25-23) to complete their regular season sweep of the Pride as junior middle Daniel Toth (Vernon, N.J.) tied for the match-high with nine kills and registered five assisted blocks at the net. Endicott improved to 9-9 overall on the year and remained unbeaten in conference play at 8-0.

    NASHUA, N.H. – After battling their way through a slow start to the 2015 season, the Endicott men’s volleyball team elevated their overall record to above .500 after Saturday’s 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-17) win over NECC rival Daniel Webster on the road. Undefeated in conference play at 7-0, the Gulls currently own an 8-7 record heading into a tri-match with #14 Dominican (Ill.) and Lasell on Sunday, March 8th.

    NEWTON, Mass. – In a non-conference tri-match with #14 Dominican (Ill.) and Lasell, the Endicott men’s volleyball went 0-for-2 despite standout performances from junior outside hitter Dan Seaver (Milford, Mass.) who went off for 30 kills combined in the two losses. Endicott (8-9, 7-0 NECC) looks to right the ship on Tuesday, March 10th with a home match against conference rival Regis.
  • Endicott Erases Two-Set Deficit to Beat Southern Vermont

    BEVERLY, Mass. – In a matchup of NECC unbeaten schools, the Endicott men’s volleyball team rallied from two sets down to defeat Southern Vermont in five sets (21-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-11) and staked their claim as the only team in the conference with an unblemished league record. Endicott (7-7, 6-0 NECC) rebounded from a slow start to hit .300, .323, and .385 in the final three sets while using 17.0 team blocks to hinder the Mountaineers attack.

Highlighted by a match high 11 kills by junior John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.) the Gulls recorded the 3-0 victory. Endicott has now swept five straight NECC opponents in straight sets as they improve to 6-7 (5-0 NECC) while Elms falls to 2-13 (0-4 NECC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team forced five with 11th-ranked MIT despite losing the first two sets but suffered a 3-2 (25-23, 25-10, 23-25, 19-25, 15-7) defeat at home to see their 2015 record drop to 5-7 overall. The Gulls got a career-high 17 kills from junior outside Dan Seaver (Milford, Mass.) but a furious blocking presence by the Engineers generated 15.5 team blocks to help secure MIT’s third straight victory.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After a slow start to the 2015 season, the Endicott men’s volleyball team has won four straight matches over conference opponents including Friday evening’s 3-0 (25-5, 25-9, 25-16) win over Lesley on the road. The Gulls hit .381 and registered 10 blocks as a team to help move the team’s record to 5-6 (4-0 NECC).
  • Season-Best Blocking Effort Helps Endicott to Win over Newbury

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men’s volleyball bested NECC opponent Newbury 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-18) in a matchup of early-season 2-0 conference teams behind an eight-kill match from junior opposite Alex Wasik (Milford, Mass.) and four blocks and six kills from sophomore middle Ryan Sutherland (Fairport, N.Y.). The win was Endicott’s third straight victory as the Gulls improved their 2015 record to 4-6 (3-0 NECC).

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team improved to 2-0 in early season NECC action by defeating Elms 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-18) on Thursday in their 2015 home opener. The Gulls hit .312 as a team, got 14 kills from junior outside John Osborne (Freehold, N.J.), and a strong setting performance from junior Cameron Little (San Diego, Calif.) over the final two sets en route to their second straight victory.
