Evan Couchot, Zach Regulbuto Headline Men's Soccer All-CCC Award Winners

BEVERLY, Mass. — Eight members of the Endicott men's soccer program have received postseason honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), as announced by the league office earlier today.

Forward Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) and goalkeeper Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) headlined the group of award winners. Couchot earned Offensive Player of the Year honors and Senior Scholar-Athlete laurels, while Regulbuto claimed CCC Rookie of the Year accolades.

Along with those honors, Endicott also saw Arian Pilja (Arlington, Mass), Charles Badji (Dakar, Senegal), Gabriel Chaves (Secaucus, N.J.), Brandon Haughton (Hartford, Mass.), Jon Breed (Atkinson, N.H.), Will Hartan (Hebron, Conn.), Couchot, and Regulbuto collect All-Conference accolades as well.

CCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR / SENIOR SCHOLAR-ATHLETE / ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Evan Couchot | Sr. | F | Mason, Ohio

Couchot currently leads the Gulls in goals with 19 and points with 42. In conference play, Couchot is tied for the lead in goals at nine and is tied for the lead in points with 19. Nationally, Couchot ranks third in goals per game (1.19), is tied for fourth in goals (19), ranks sixth in points per game (2.63), and is tied for sixth in total points (42).

In the classroom, Couchot has a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.7 as a Biology/Biotechnology major. He is a member of the Endicott Scholars program and a member of the Phi Sigma Biological Honors Society. Couchot has received CCC Academic All-Conference honors twice and has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team twice in his career.

Additionally, Couchot has completed an internship with Prospective Reasearch Inc., where he did extensive work with varying fermentation conditions and also developed a new form of liquid bioassay to greatly increase company productivity in the field of early antibiotic discovery.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR/ ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Zach Regulbuto | Fr. | GK | Somers, Conn.

Regulbuto has started every minute in goal this season for the Gulls. He recorded eight clean sheets throughout the season, six of which came in conference play.

Furthermore, in league matches this season, Regulbuto led the conference in goals against with two, and clean sheets with five. His goals against average (0.24), and save percentage (.929) in conference play also lead the CCC.

Nationally, Regulbuto is tied for 10th in clean sheets.

ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Charles Badji | So. | B | Dakar, Senegal

Badji played a significant role on the back end for Endicott. He played every minute of the season as part of a CCC leading defense that totaled six conference clean sheets and only allowed two goals.

Arian Pilja | So. | M | Arlington, Mass.

Pilja was critical in the middle of the field this season for the Gulls. He played and started in every game, and in those contests, he contributed three goals, and three assists, totaling nine points.

ALL-CCC SECOND TEAM

Gabriel Chaves | Fr. | F | Secaucus, N.J.

Chaves started in 12 games this season, five of which game in CCC play. He totaled three goals, and one assist for seven points. Chaves also had the crucial game-winning goal for Endicott in its 1-0 win over CCC opponent Roger Williams on October 15.

ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM

Jon Breed | Sr. | M | Atkinson, N.H.

Breed played and started in 16 games this season. Breed played back this season for the Gulls as part of their league-leading defense. Offensively, Breed notched one goal and tallied one assist.

Will Hartan | Jr. | B | Hebron, Conn.

Hartan partnered Badji starting every game at center back this season. Hartan's role was vital for Endicott this season being a part of a defense that totaled eight clean sheets and only allowed 14 goals in 17 matches.

Brandon Haughton | Jr. | M | Hartford, Conn.

Haughton started in all but one game for the Gulls this season in the midfield. Haughton totaled four points, assisting on two goals, and scoring one of his own. Three of his points game in conference play.
