Clark, Garrity, & Souza Claim IMLCA All-Region Honorable Mention Accolades

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's lacrosse student-athletes Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Grant Garrity (Duxbury, Mass.), and Hayden Souza (West Hartford, Conn.) have all earned Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Northeast All-Region Honorable Mention accolades. It was announced by the organization earlier this week.

This is Clark's first career IMLCA honor and second for Garrity and Souza, respectively.

Clark's 2019 season featured 18 goals and 17 assists for 35 points in 19 games played. Clark also ranked 37th in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in goals, 15th in assists, and 28th in points.

Meanwhile, in 19 games played as a defender this season, Garrity compiled 32 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Garrity finished 12th overall among all CCC student-athletes in caused turnovers and 47th in ground balls.

Lastly, Souza registered 12 caused turnovers and 29 ground balls to go along with one assist in 19 games as a short-stick specialist. Souza ranked 25th overall in the conference in ground balls and 26th in caused turnovers.

The duo also guided Endicott to rank first overall in the CCC in goals against average (8.37), total goals against (161) and caused turnovers (164), tied for first in most clears (343), second in clear percentage (.815), and third in ground balls (639). In conference-only games, the Gulls ranked first in goals against average (6.88) and total goals against (55), second in caused turnovers (68) and ground balls (306), third in clear percentage (.811), and sixth in most clears (137).

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott posted an 11-8 record and 7-1 mark in conference play. The Gulls earned the No. 2 seed in the CCC Tournament and defeated Wentworth (20-4) and Roger Williams (12-11, 3OT) to advance to the CCC Championship, but, ultimately, fell to top-ranked Western New England, 9-8.
