No. 3 Tufts Tops Men's Lacrosse, 13-5

MEDFORD, Mass.  – The Endicott men's lacrosse team fell No. 3 nationally ranked Tufts University, 13-5, on Tuesday evening in non-conference action at Bello Field.

Endicott's offense was led by Ben Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), A.J. MacDonald (New Fairfield, Conn.), Eric Spada (Glen Rock, N.J.), Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.), and Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.) as all five student-athletes contributed one goal in the contest.

John Koebel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) also posted two assists on the night, while Yannone won 13 faceoffs and snagged eight groundballs to round out the list of offensive highlights.

Meanwhile, Patrick Dean (Westhampton, N.Y.) kept the Gulls in the matchup with a season-high 17 saves. 

Dean was the difference in the first half as the senior made seven of his 17 stops before the Jumbos broke open a 5-2 halftime lead with seven unanswered goals in the second stanza to come away with the victory.

Endicott (1-5) hosts Springfield College on Saturday, March 16 at 1 PM. Tufts (5-0) hosts Curry College on Monday, March 11 at 2 PM.
