Union (N.Y.) Tops Men’s Lacrosse, 15-7

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team lost to Union (N.Y.), 15-7, in non-conference action on a frigid Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Hayden Frey (Sudbury, Mass.) and John Edmonds (Fairfield, Conn.) paced the Dutchmen offensively with four goals apiece.

Meanwhile, for the Gulls, John Koebel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) recorded two goals, while Ben Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Mike Sudora (Monroe, Conn.), Neal Parry (Marshfield, Mass.), Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.), and Sam DesMarais (York Beach, Maine) all notched solo tallies in the loss.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Union holds a 3-1 advantage over Endicott in the all-time series.
  • Abate (4:28, third), Sudora (00:13, fourth), and DesMarais (11:10, first) all scored their first collegiate goals tonight.
  • Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) won a game-high/season-high 16 faceoffs.
  • After DesMarais put Endicott ahead, 1-0, in the early goings of the first quarter (11:10, Union responded with a 9-0 run over a 23:06 to put the game away.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (0-2) hosts conference for Salve Regina University this Saturday, March 2 at 12 PM. Union (1-0) welcomes Babson College to its campus this Saturday at 1 PM.
