Endicott Finishes Fourth at UNE Invitational

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - The Endicott golf team competed in the 2018 UNE Invitational on Wednesday and finished fourth in the six team field.

The Gulls finished with a team score of 315, three strokes behind UMaine-Farmington's third place score of 312. Leading the field was Southern Maine with a score of 298 while the host Nor'Easters finished with a score of 305. Saint Joseph's finished in fifth with a score of 320 while Maine Maritime finished sixth with a score of 340.

Endicott was led by senior Carter Knox (Hinesburg, Vt.) who finished tied for sixth with a score of 75 on the 5,859 yard park 69 course at the Cape Arundel Golf Club. Knox was followed by freshman Jack Bushee (Bennington, Vt.) who shot a round of 77 to finish in a three-way tie for 11th in the field of 30 golfers.

Finishing third for the Gulls was senior Christopher Billings (Portland, Maine), as he closed just one shot back of Bushee with a round of 78. Kyle Camello (Coventry, Conn.) and Ronan Lucey (Bow, N.H.) finished in fourth and fifth for the Gulls with rounds of 85 and 90, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott will have three weeks to prepare for the NEIGA Championship on October 21-22. The annual regional championship will be held at The Captains Golf Club in Brewster, Mass.
