Teevens earns conference honors for second straight week

Teevens earns conference honors for second straight week
Endicott freshman defender \#Stacie Teevens\# (Westborough, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference defense player of the week for the week of September 13. The award comes one week after Teevens earned rookie of the week accolades from the conference, making her the first Endicott player since Anna Giannoni in 2008 to earn the recognition in consecutive weeks.

Teevens helped the defense hold previously-unbeaten SUNY New Paltz to one goal on seven shots in a 2-1 win on Wednesday. On Saturday, Teevens and the Gulls held Anna Maria to just two shots in a 9-0 win.

The freshman also played a key role in the offensive attack, leading the Blue and Green with three assists in the win over the AMCATS. With the pair of victories, Endicott improves to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.

The Gulls are slated to play three games this week.   On Tuesday, the team travels to UMass-Dartmouth for a 7:00 pm showdown with the Corsairs. The rest of the week features home contests with Bridgewater State (Thursday) and the TCCC’s Western New England (Saturday).
