WESTFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott dance team won its 10th straight Universal Dance Association (UDA) New England Regional title on Sunday evening on the campus of Westfield State University against Division II and III colleges and universities from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and New York.
The Gulls kept their winning streak intact by capturing first place honors in Open Jazz and Open Pom. Endicott's first place performances in Open Jazz and Open Pom also marked the fifth year in a row that the Gulls swept both disciplines.
"Perseverance was the theme of this season and today was no different," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch. "With injuries and illness, and even changing routines minutes before competing, the team pushed themselves and came out on top. No other team could handle the challenges that were put in front of them this season. I am so proud of their grit and trust in themselves and each other. Go Gulls!"
