Jacob Mickey, MS, LAT, ATC, CSCS, CES, PES begins his fifth year at Endicott as an Athletic Trainer in 2022-23. Mickey also serves as an adjunct professor in the Endicott School of Sport Science teaching sport and exercise pedagogy.

Mickey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Purdue University in 2011, and obtained his Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Syracuse University in 2014.

At Purdue, Mickey served as a student athletic trainer with the football, track and field, and baseball programs. Meanwhile, at Syracuse, Mickey served as the Lead Graduate Assistant with the football, men and women's crew, and men's lacrosse programs. Between his time at Purdue and Syracuse, Mickey also worked two summer camps and a year-long internship with the National Football League's (NFL) Detroit Lions. 

Mickey's other past experiences include working as an Athletic Trainer, Physicians Extender, and Bracing Specialist for multiple orthopedic and physical therapy clinics. During that time, he also was employed by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a Medical Observer for NCAA football games. 

Mickey is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and holds numerous certifications including NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Mickey also was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the College in May 2021 for his outstanding services to the community and earned the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts (ATOM) President's Award in January 2022. The ATOM President's Award is presented at the discretion of the ATOM Executive Council in order to honor an ATOM member who has demonstrated excellence in the practice of athletic training through dedication, selflessness, hard work, and their contribution to ATOM's mission. He is the first-ever ATOM President's Award winner.
