Women’s Cross Country Places Third UNE Invitational

BIDDEFORD, Maine — The Endicott women's cross country team ranked third overall out of eight teams at the University of New England (UNE) Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Rotary Park.

Roger Williams took home top honors with a score of 35 points.

Following the Hawks were Husson (55), Endicott (79), Gordon (96), UNE (118), Western New England (136), Wentworth (176), and Maine Maritime (218), in respective order.

Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) led the Gulls on the 5-kilometer course with a 10th place finish (20:58.0).

Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.), Emma Johnson (Reading, Mass.), and Makayla Vigneaux (Salisbury, Mass.) followed in 13th (21:46.3), 16th (22:02.4), 18th (22:15.5), and 22nd (22:48.6) place, respectively.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Gulls' top-5 all finished within the top-25 of the field.
  • Endicott averaged a time of 21:58 on the 5k course.

Endicott will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College, on Saturday, September 17 at 10:45 AM.
