BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott freshman harrier Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) has been selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Shepard began her collegiate career last week by leading Endicott to victory over Gordon and Salve Regina in the Battle of the North Shore race on Thursday (Sept. 1).
Shepard placed second overall in the race, coming in at 19:47.0 on the 5-kilometer course, which translates to an average of 6:22.0 per mile.
This is Shepard's first career weekly honor.
