2019 Women’s Cross Country Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's cross country program opens up its 2019 season on Saturday, August 31 against crosstown rival Gordon College in the "Battle of the North Shore" in Wenham, Mass. at 10:45 AM. Here's what to look forward to for the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott is 1-1 overall in the "Battle of the North Shore" against Gordon since the dual meet series was started in 2017.
  • The Gulls' 2019 roster features 17 student-athletes from four different states.
  • Juniors Haley Marek (Westhampton, Mass.) and Gabrielle Rabito (Woburn, Mass.) and senior Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.) have been selected as captains for this year's squad. They are all first-time captains.
  • The Gulls will host Eastern Nazarene, Emerson, Emmanuel, Mass. Maritime, Nichols, Regis, and Salve Regina in the Endicott Invitational on September 7 at Bradley Palmer State Park (11 AM).
  • The Blue and Green ranked third overall at last year's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship.
