WENHAM, Mass.- Led by a third place finish from Emma Farrington (Essex Junction, Vt.), the Endicott women's cross country team finished third overall out of eight teams on Saturday morning at the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships at Gordon College.
The University of New England captured their seventh straight CCC title with a score of 27 points, while Salve Regina finished in second (72). Endicott followed in third place (80), while Roger Williams (100), Gordon (106), Western New England (125), Nichols (233) and Curry (241) rounded out the remaining teams, in respective order.
Individually, Farrington paced the Gulls by completing the six-kilometer course in 23:36.0. Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.) wasn't far behind as she crossed the finish line next for the Gulls in 24:15.1 (10th place), while Kaylee Dunn (North Attleboro, Mass.) ranked 24th overall with a time of 25:03.2. Both Farrington and MacKay earned CCC All-Conference honors for their top-15 finishes.
Hannah Mason (Deerfield, N.H.) and Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.) rounded out the Gulls' top-five in 25th (25:05.9) and 27th (25:13.0), respectively.
Meanwhile, Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.) was awarded CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete honors at the conclusion of the meet. Keim now joins Holly Rigoli '16 (Waltham, Mass.) as the only student-athlete in program history to receive the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete award.

"I am very pleased with how the women ran today. They made some huge improvements and had great energy today for the championship," said Endicott women's cross country coach Spencer Lange. "Their hard work showed as they had their best CCC finish in the last 10 years. Emma and Aleah went for it and ended up earning All-Conference honors after a hard-fought race. It was a mixed contribution from all classes today which is more than we could ask for. We're looking forward to continuing that momentum into Regionals in two weeks."

- Endicott was able to improve on last year's CCC finish by two spots.
- Farrington is now a two-time CCC All-Conference honoree, while MacKay claimed her first career All-Conference award.
- Today's third place finish marked the team's best finish since 2008 (third place).
