Women's Cross Country Places 10th Overall At Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott women's cross country team posted a 10th place finish out of 18 teams at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  

Brandies won the meet with 39 points, while Bates was second with 43 points, and Tufts came in third totaling 89 points. Rounding out the top-five was Colby (105 points) and host Bowdoin (113). Out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference, only the University of New England (7th, 210 points) finished ahead of the Gulls (10th, 285 points).

Endicott's top finisher was Emma Farrington (Essex County, Vt.) as the sophomore ranked 41st overall with a time of 24:14.1 on the 6-kilometer course to lead the squad. 

The Gulls then saw Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.) cross the line in 59th place with a time of 24:40.5. Along with Farrington and MacKay, rounding out the top-five were Abigail Keim (Williston, Vt.), Laura Pomeroy (Windham, N.H.), and Sophia Conde (Bedford, Mass.) with times of 25:04.4 (73rd overall), 25:34.0 (89th overall), and 25:58.5 (100th overall) respectively.

The Gulls will have a week off before they travel to Boston, Mass. for the Suffolk University Invitational on Friday October 12 at 4:45 PM.
