
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's volleyball student-athletes Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) and Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) have been named Conference of New England (CNE) Player and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
HADLEY HELENBROOK
Helenbrook averaged 7.13 kills per set (57 kills, .423 hitting percentage) and 2.63 digs per set (21) in a 3-0 week for the Gulls. The sophomore was also a perfect 49-49 in the serve receive and added five assists, two block assists, and a service ace.
In a 3-1 victory over Wentworth, Helenbrook set a new program record for kills in a single match with 36, eclipsing the previous single-match high of 29. The sophomore hit .541 in the match and didn't record an error until the fourth set. She holds the record for all of the Division III so far this season for single-match kills and ranks third across Division I, II, and III.
Then in a tri-match sweep versus Clark and Salve Regina, the Atlanta, Ga. native recorded 21 putaways across the two matches in the 3-0 sweeps.
This is Helenbrook's fourth CNE Player of the Week award in her career (9/3/24, 9/9/24, 9/16/24).
HANNAH MAGUIRE
In a 3-0 week for the Gulls, Maguire recorded 90 assists (10 assists per set), recorded 21 digs (2.33 per set), had 11 kills, five service aces, and four total blocks (three solo and one block assist).
Versus Wentworth, ran the offense with 46 assists to help Helenbrook set the NCAA Division III Single-match kill record this season. The freshman also recorded 10 digs, four kills, three service aces, and a block solo in the victory.
Followed that up against Clark in a 3-0 sweep with 22 assists, five kills, six digs, two service aces, and three total blocks (two blocks solo and one block assist). Then against Salve Regina had 22 assists, five digs, and two kills.
This is Maguire's third career CNE Rookie of the Week honor (9/3/24 and 9/30/24).
