Kennedy Named CCC Libero of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. - For the fifth time in 2019, Endicott's Mackenzie Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Libero of the Week. The announcement was made this afternoon by the conference office.

Kennedy anchored the Endicott defense during a 2-1 week that included two 3-0 sweeps. In the opening sweep of CCC foe Salve Regina, Kennedy posted 21 digs and five assists, averaging 7.0 digs/set. The senior followed that effort up with performances of 24 digs in a sweep of Brandeis, averaging 8.0 digs/set, and 28 in a 3-1 setback to No. 23 Babson. For the week, Kennedy averaged 7.30 digs/set, raising her season average to 5.65. In the seven weeks the CCC office has distributed honors, Kennedy has received five Libero of the Week nods.

Kennedy and the Gulls are back in action on Wednesday when they travel across town to take on CCC rival Gordon at 7:00 PM.
