BEVERLY, Mass. - After leading the defensive efforts during a 2-0 week for the Endicott women's volleyball team, libero Mackenzie Kennedy (Andover, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Libero of the Week as was announced earlier today by the conference office.

The Libero of the Week honor is the fourth of the season for the senior, and the 12th of her career. The Andover, Mass. played a pivotal role in leading the defense during a week in which they collectively held their opponents to a negative hitting percentage of -.018 (50-54-224). In the team's 3-0 sweep of Nichols, Kennedy posted 12 digs as the Gulls held the Bison to a -.134 average (15-28-97). She then followed it up with a 21 dig effort in the team's 3-1 win over CCC rival Roger Williams on Endicott's Homecoming Weekend. During that match, the Gulls were able to hold the Hawks to an .071 average (35-26-127).

The women are back in action on Thursday as they play host to regional power Johnson & Wales (R.I.), the No. 5 ranked team in the most recent AVCA DIII Coaches Poll. The match is set for a 6:00 PM start.
