SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced the 2016 women's volleyball tournament pairings on Saturday night, and as a result of the team's perfect 9-0 record in conference play, Endicott has earned the top seed in the eight team field for the first time since 2009.

The Gulls, who are 19-11 overall, will host eighth seeded Curry on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., after the Colonels finished 2-7 in CCC play and 10-13 overall. The Gulls defeated the Colonels 3-0 on October 5 in the regular season match between the two teams as Lauren Sheehan (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) led all players with nine kills.

Roger Williams enters the tournament as the number two seed after posting an 8-1 record in CCC play and a 19-7 overall record. The Hawks' only setback in conference play was to Endicott in a 3-1 battle and they will take on seventh seeded UNE on Tuesday night. Third seeded Western New England takes on sixth seeded Gordon in a rematch of the regular season thriller that went five this past Saturday. In a match-up between the fourth and fifth seeds, Wentworth will host Salve Regina as both squads finished 5-4 in CCC play on the season to close out quarterfinal action. Wentworth defeated Salve 3-0 at the end of September in the regular season match between the two squads.

The semifinals will be hosted on Thursday night at the highest remaining seeds while the finals will be played on Saturday at a site and time to be determined. With the top seed, Endicott will have home court advantage throughout the tournament.
