McIntyre & Trudon Earn CCC Weekly Accolades Following 2-0 Week

CCC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR THE WEEK OF OCT. 17- OCT. 23

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Seniors Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) and Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) were named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week and Libero of the week, respectively, by the conference office.

The duo helped lead Endicott to a pair of CCC road wins on the week that started with a 3-2 win over Western New England and ended with a 3-1 win over Roger Williams. The Gulls (17-11, 7-0 CCC) are now the lone unbeaten team in the conference with two matches left to play.

CCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TORI MACINTYRE | SENIOR | OUTSIDE | SAN DIEGO, CALIF.

The outside posted back-to-back double-doubles on the week. McIntyre started the week with a 19 kill, 22 dig performance in the team's 3-2 win over WNE as she hit .313. The three-time CCC Player of the Week in 2016 followed it up with a 12 kill, 15 dig performance in the team's 3-1 win over RWU, including four straight kills to seal the match and give her nine double-doubles on the season.

CCC LIBERO OF THE WEEK

ERIKA TRUDON | SENIOR | LIBERO | COVENTRY, CONN. 

Trudon, who has now earned the distinction three times on the 2016 season, anchored an Endicott defense that held WNE and RWU to a combined .191 average for the week. The libero averaged 5.00 digs/set after tallying 28 in the team's 3-2 win over WNE and 17 in the team's 3-1 win over RWU on the road. Trudon also averaged .89 assists/set after recording four in each match while her 28 digs against WNE were good for her second best total of the 2016 season.
