McIntyre and Trudon Earn Weekly CCC Honors

CCC Athletes of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Seniors Tori McIntyre (San Diego, Calif.) and Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) were named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week and Libero of the Week, respectively, as was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

McIntyre earned her second consecutive CCC Player of the Week award after a week in which she averaged 3.41 kills per set and 2.82 digs per set, while contributing 3.9 points per set. The outside posted two double-double efforts highlighted by her 23-kill, 20-dig effort in a four-set match against Amherst. Her other double-double came against Westfield State, a 13 kill, 12 dig effort as she led the Gulls to a 3-2 week.

Trudon also earned her second straight nod after posting double-digit dig efforts in each of the five matches on the week. She saved her best performance for last, posting a career-best 33 digs in the four set match against Amherst. The libero also added seven aces on the week as she averaged 5.05 digs per set throughout the week.

McIntyre, Trudon and the Gulls are back in action tonight when they play host to cross-town rival Gordon in a pivotal CCC matchup at 7:00 p.m.
