Guerre Takes Home Co-ECAC Player of the Week Honors

CENTERVILLE, Mass.- For her stellar performance last week which culminated in a 3-2 thrilling victory over then #22 Roger Williams, sophomore Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.l) received co-ECAC Division III New England Player of the Week.  The Gulls went 3-0 over that stretch with all three wins being Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matches.

To start off the week, the middle blocker hit a team high .652 with 16 kills and just one error against Wentworth in the four set victory while she hit .600 with seven kills and one error in her lone set of play in the sweep of Curry.  She also led the Gulls in blocks against Wentworth with five.

Guerre capped her week with a five set victory over No. 22 Roger Williams in which the sophomore notched 11 kills, while hitting .222 against a team who has held opponents to a collective .110 hitting percentage all season. The victory handed Roger Williams its first loss of the season as the Hawks now hold a 19-1 record. For the week, she led Endicott in hitting percentage as she hit .450.  On the season, Guerre is now hitting .301 overall which leads the team and has 201 kills which is second.  In conference play, Guerre leads the team with a .339 hitting percentage.
