Trudon Receives CCC Libero of the Week Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-  Freshman Erika Trudon (Coventry, Conn.) received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) honors following a 2-1 week in which she averaged 5.6 digs/set to lead the team defensively.  Endicott's two wins came over cross-town rival Gordon and NESCAC foe Bates which avenged a loss from a week prior.

Trudon led her team in digs every match averaging 5.60 per set on the week.  In the sweep over Gordon, the freshman recorded 22 digs and added two service aces. In an impressive 3-1 win over No. 13 Bates, she earned 20 digs.  The freshman libero also recorded 14 digs in a tough 3-0 loss to Amherst.  In all three contests, Trudon did not commit a reception error on over 40 attempts.

In her eight matches as the starting libero, Trudon has eclipsed double digits in digs and has averaged an impressive 4.31 digs/set.  Trudon and the Gulls are now off until Wednesday when they head to Biddeford, Maine looking to avenge last year's loss to UNE.  That trip is followed by a weekend trip to New York City as the Gulls will compete in the Baruch Invitational.
