Dolan Named ECAC DIII New England Player of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass.-  Coming off of a week in which she led the team to victories over three regionally ranked opponents and led the team in kills in every match, senior Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) was named ECAC Division III New England Player of the Week.  This is the first time in team history that a player has been named as the ECAC DIII Regional Player of the Week.

Endicott recorded victories of regionally ranked Trinity (No. 11), MIT (No. 10) and Connecticut College (No. 8) on the way to a 3-2 week.  The outside recorded at least 12 kills in every match while also recording three double-doubles in kills and digs on the week.  In a 3-1 victory over Trinity, Dolan recorded 19 kills (hitting .364) and 11 digs. Against MIT (3-0), the outside hitter recorded 12 kills and five digs and then went on to earn 16 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 win over Connecticut College. In a tough 3-2 loss to Trinity, the senior earned 16 kills and 10 digs. Dolan raised her overall kills/set to 3.16 for the season and has already recorded 139 kills in 2013.

Dolan and the Gulls return to action tonight as the travel across town to face off against CCC foe Gordon College.  First serve is set for 7 p.m.
