Endicott Drops Decision to Wheaton in Three Sets

WHEATON, Ill.-  After arriving in Illinois earlier in the day, the Endicott women's volleyball team travelled to Wheaton College to take on the Thunder.  The Gulls were unable to overcome a slow start in the three set loss.  Set scores were 25-10, 25-22, 25-21.

The Gulls were lead by senior libero Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) as she was able to record 17 digs in the three set loss.  Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) was able to pick up 10 digs and 18 assists as the freshman played her first collegiate matches in her home state.  Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif.) was able to record five kills on 13 attempts while also being credited with two blocks.  Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) led the Gulls with six kills in the match.

The Gulls resume play in the Windy City tomorrow by taking on two nationally ranked powers in #9 Elmhurst and #13 University of Chicago.  Endicott and Chicago face off at 10 a.m. CST and will take on Elmhurst at 12 p.m. CST.
