Wiese selected for NEWVA Senior Classic
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College’s \#Steph Wiese\# (Higganum, Conn.) has been selected to the New England Women’s Volleyball Association’s Senior Classic to be held on Sunday on the campus of UMass-Boston. Coaches nominate and vote and the top 25 are invited to participate in a skills competition at 10:30 a.m. and then a match to follow at 1:00 p.m.

Wiese and the Gulls wrapped up their 2009 campaign at 19-17 overall with the senior leaving the program as the all-time kills leader with 1,401 kills.

This season, \#Steph Wiese\# led the Gulls with 369 kills in just over 1,100 total attempts. Wiese averaged 3.13 kills per set and was third on the team in service aces with 47. The senior also helped out defensively as she was third on the team in digs with 314 and contributed 21 total blocks this year.

\#Steph Wiese\# joins a lengthy list of former EC senior women’s volleyball players who were invited to the Senior Classic. She is the 12th player to receive the honor from the team’s stellar program history.
