Gulls Sweep Weekly Conference Awards

BEVERLY, MA - The Commonwealth Coast Conference has recognized three Endicott women's volleyball players with the TCCC weekly awards. The back-to-back conference champions were awarded player, rookie and libero of the week honors after their impressive postseason run.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Sophomore outside hitter Steph Wiese (Higganum, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) was dominant in the Gulls' 3-2 win over Colby-Sawyer in The Commonwealth Coast Conference championship match. Wiese tallied 22 kills, 14 digs and three blocks in the hard-fought five-game victory. Earlier in the week, Wiese collected 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Eastern Nazarene, while adding 12 kills and 18 digs in a 3-1 semifinal win over Roger Williams. She averaged 3.69 kills and 3.23 digs per game as Endicott claimed the program's second-straight TCCC championship.

LIBERO OF THE WEEK - Junior Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk) posted 20 or more digs in each of the Gulls' three TCCC tournament victories. Nolan opened the week with 22 digs in a 3-1 quarterfinal win over Eastern Nazarene. She added 20 digs in a 3-1 semifinal win over Roger Williams, only to close out the Gulls' week with 25 digs in a grueling 3-2 win over Colby-Sawyer in the championship match. Over the course of the TCCC Tournament, Nolan averaged 5.15 digs per game.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -Freshman defensive specialist Ally Murphy (Gilford, NH/Gilford) played a key role off the bench in the Gulls' three TCCC Tournament victories, averaging 2.45 digs per game for the champion Gulls. She opened the week with six digs and two service aces against Eastern Nazarene, added 10 digs and five aces against Roger Williams, and closed out the tournament with 11 digs in the title match against Colby-Sawyer.

Endicott returns to action on Thursday as the Gulls open the NCAA New England Regional Tournament against Wellesley at 1:00 p.m. in Cambridge, Mass.
