NEW LONDON, CT - The Endicott College women's volleyball team split a tri-match in New London, Connecticut on Saturday afternoon, as the Gulls defeated Connecticut College, and then fell to Coast Guard.

In their first match of the day, the Gulls make quick work of the Connecticut College Camels, 3-0. Endicott opened the match with a swift, 30-21, game one victory. With momentum on their side, the Gulls took games two and three, 30-22 and 30-26, respectively, to take the 3-0 win.

Steph Wiese (Higganum, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) paced the Gulls upfront, as the sophomore outside hitter notched 12 kills and two aces. Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) was also strong upfront for the Gulls, posting eight kills and five blocks in the win. Senior setter Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) tallied 37 assists and 11 digs for the Blue and Green.

Following its victory over the Camels, Endicott got right back to work with a difficult match against a talented Coast Guard squad. After dropping game one, 30-22, Endicott captured the second frame, 30-25. Despite the game two win, the Gulls were unable to take games three or four, losing three games to one.

Wiese was strong in the afternoon match, as she had a well-rounded seven kill, 13 dig and three block match. Hayley Janelle was again a force at the net, hammering home 11 kills and earning three blocks. Freshman Brittany Phillips (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln Sudbury) had eight blocks and six digs while Meghan Hall dished out 33 assists and compiled 16 digs. Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk) had 17 digs in the loss.

Endicott jumps back into TCCC play on Tuesday afternoon as they travel to Quincy, Massachusetts to take on Eastern Nazarene College at 7:00 PM.
