Hall, Nolan Earn Conference Honors

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Endicott College women's volleyball team opened the 2007 season on the road at the Gordon College Invitational, and a pair of Gulls earned TCCC recognition as Endicott posted a 2-1 mark over the weekend.

Senior setter and 2006 CCC Player of the Year Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) enjoyed a strong individual effort on both sides of the net on Saturday. In 12 games played, Hall averaged 10.75 assists, 5.75 digs, 1.25 kills and 0.67 service aces per game, while hitting an impressive .371. Her top performance came in a tough five-game loss to NCAA "Sweet 16" team MIT, against whom she logged 50 assists, 27 digs, eight kills and a .438 attack percentage. Hall added 44 assists and 24 digs in a four-game win over Gordon and chipped in 35 assists and 18 digs in a three-game sweep of Lasell. For her efforts, Hall earned a spot on the Gordon College Invitational All-Tournament Team and was named the TCCC Player of the Week.

Endicott junior Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk) averaged 6.00 digs per game over 12 games as the Gulls compiled a 2-1 mark over the weekend. Nolan recorded 34 digs in the Gulls five-game loss to MIT, added 25 digs in a win over Gordon and chipped in 13 digs in a win over Lasell. Nolan has earned TCCC Libero of the Week honors to begin the season for Endicott.

The Blue and Green return to action on Wednesday, September 5th as they host UMass-Boston at 6:00 PM in Beverly, MA.
