BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College women's volleyball team cruised into the CCC Tournament semifinals with a three game sweep of eight seeded Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The Gulls took control right from the start winning the first game 30-20, then taking the second 30-12 before closing out the sweep with a 30-15 win in the third and final game.

Endicott was led by a cast of usual suspects including freshmen phenom Steph Wiese (Higganum, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) who tied her career high with 19 kills and added 10 digs while hitting a gaudy .548. Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) had another big night as she dished out 36 assists to go along with 11 digs and three kills.

Sara Moore (Guilford, CT/Guilford) and Hayley Janelle (Madbury, NH/Oyster River) also played well for the Gulls. Moore was second on the team with 12 kills and had four digs, while Janelle had 8 kills and two digs.

The Leopards were swept by EC for the second time this season. Danielle Banks (Ellicott City, MD) led Wentworth with seven kills and 12 digs, while Courtney Zink (East Falmouth, MA) had 15 assists and Jennifer Kelemen (Newburgh, NY) had 8 digs.

The win sends EC to the semifinal round were they will take on the fourth seeded University of New England, who beat fifth seeded Eastern Nazarene on Tuesday night. That game will be played at Endicott on Thursday, November 2 at 7:00 pm. In other CCC action Gordon College beat Salve Regina in three games and Roger Williams upset Colby-Sawyer 3-0.
